What qualifies

Free offer evidence joined to current VPS plans

A provider appears only when its source-qualified offer can fund or supply a VM and the current deployment dataset contains VPS plans for that provider. Static hosting does not become a free VPS merely because the same company also sells virtual machines.

Free-tier evidence checked 2026-07-26. Current plan counts and paid fallbacks come from the same VPS dataset as the full VPS comparison. Unknown requirements remain unknown, never no-card or free.

Ongoing allowance

Durable free VM offers

Durable means the VM allowance does not end on a signup-credit deadline. It does not mean unlimited capacity, guaranteed stock, no reclamation, or zero charges outside the allowance.

Trials and promotional balances

A temporary credit is not free VPS hosting

These offers can be useful for a migration test, demo, or evaluation. They are separated because the VM becomes billable or stops when the credit or trial boundary arrives.

Temporary VPS credit

Akamai Cloud

$100 promotional credit

Expiry
Credits expire during a specified trial period, but the current offer does not publish the duration.
Payment method
Card required
First limit
The trial-period deadline is likely to arrive before a $5 Nanode consumes $100, but the current duration is unpublished.
Paid VPS reference
Nanode 1GB at $5.00 a month

Still unclear: The current $100 offer does not publish the trial duration.

Temporary VPS credit

Vultr

Campaign-dependent promotional credit

Expiry
Campaign-dependent credit is valid for up to 30 days.
Payment method
Card required
First limit
Day 30 is the only campaign-independent numeric boundary.
Paid VPS reference
vc2-1c-0.5gb-v6 at $2.50 a month

Still unclear: Campaign amount is not constant. The current public pricing page returned HTTP 403 during verification, so no scalar paid escape was asserted.

No-card VPS check

No no-card VPS offer is confirmed in this set

Every source-qualified VM offer above currently records a card requirement. A missing or unclear card field would be shown as unknown; it would not be promoted into this answer. Account, identity, region, and capacity checks can still apply after a card is accepted.
