Cloud pricing term
What is Platform fee?
A platform fee is the base charge for the deployment or management layer before separately metered infrastructure and usage are added.
The expensive mistake
Reading the platform plan as the full hosting bill. Cloud 66 explicitly leaves the customer's cloud or server bill separate, and Vercel's paid Pro plan includes a usage credit but has additional compute, transfer, storage, and add-on meters.
Where it appears on your bill
It appears as a plan, workspace, platform, subscription, or management line, followed by usage and third-party infrastructure elsewhere.
Worked example
The dated example uses Cloud 66 Developer at $23/month equivalent on annual billing, so the known platform commitment is 12 x $23 = $276 for a year. The customer cloud or server bill remains unknown and separate. The deployment total is therefore more than $276, but the site does not invent the missing infrastructure amount.
